On-Site Activities
Camp Summit offers a diverse range of onsite activities that allow campers to continuously build their skills and progress through various program levels. Whether it’s honing foundational archery techniques or progressing from beginner climbs on our climbing wall to more challenging elements on the high ropes course, each program is tailored to meet campers at their current ability level and support them as they grow.
Archery
Campers learn traditional long-bow archery under the guidance of a trained instructor. After visiting the archery range with their cabin group, they also have the chance to join elective archery sessions for extra practice and fun.
Climbing wall
Bouldering
Our bouldering wall provides the physical benefits of rock climbing without the heights. Through games and challenges, campers develop essential climbing techniques close to the ground.
Outdoor living Skills
In a safe, supervised setting, campers learn to build campfires and may even whip up treats like bannock and s’mores or experiment with various methods of shelter-building. More advanced groups will learn how to use camp stoves and tarps, gaining valuable outdoor skills.
High Ropes
Elements like the giant’s ladder, vertical playground, and leap of faith let campers challenge themselves at elevated heights. With a focus on trust, teamwork, and personal growth, high ropes activities encourage pushing beyond comfort zones.
Arts + Crafts
Creative campers explore a variety of projects—tie-dye, collages, duct tape wallets, beadwork, painting, picture framing, and more. This hands-on, imaginative time adds color and creativity to the camp experience.
Geocaching
Using GPS units, campers learn navigation skills as they track down hidden caches, adding a high-tech treasure hunt element to their outdoor adventure.
Low Ropes
Just a few feet off the ground, our low ropes course challenges cabin groups to communicate, solve problems, and support one another. Campers gain valuable leadership and team-building skills in a fun, accessible setting.
Mountain Biking
Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, campers learn techniques, trail etiquette, and safety while exploring our on-site trails, pump track and bike park here at Camp. Intermediate and senior campers can then put their skills to the test on a off-site mountain biking experience on some of Squamish’s world renowned bike trail that are sure to challenge and inspire!
Explore
Through guided exploration of our temperate rainforest, campers learn to experience nature with all their senses, gaining appreciation and understanding of the environment around them
Team Initiatives
With engaging group challenges, campers learn creativity, communication, support, and leadership. These problem-solving activities unite cabin groups and foster a sense of accomplishment.
Drama + Theatre
Theatre activities encourage self-confidence, self-expression, and creativity. From drama classes to flash mobs, campers experiment with movement, improvisation, and performance in a supportive, playful environment.
guitar + Music
Beginner and experienced players alike can learn chords, practice new songs, and jam with friends. Playing a song or preforming around the campfire or mastering a tune in the music shed creates a memorable camp experience.
Orienteering
Campers learn to use compasses, read maps, and develop navigation skills that prepare them for day hikes or extended backcountry travel. They’ll also learn about proper camp setup, equipment choices, and outdoor best practices.
